What happens next? Well, it's time for our motorhome trip to Wismar in Germany! We came home from Switzerland on Friday evening and I (Helena) have (almost) worked for three days. And now it's time again! We are travelling with the motorhome towards Wismar in Germany - and we are joined by no less than ten motorhomes.

It is difficult to realise that the journey is coming to an end. We feel very pleased that we have exciting things all the way through.

After a few days we want to start moving again, because we had an unplanned stop in Dubrovnik, the stay in Greece was a little shorter than we thought. It was still quite ok, Greece is still there. Left early from Thessaloniki to get as far up as possible. Had decided on a "driving day" so we left at 06.15. It was quiet on the roads and we quickly drove up to the border with Macedonia. The roads in Greece are very nice. It is probably our "road favourite" so far. 🙂

Now we are almost halfway through our journey, on Saturday (read today) we have been out for 3 weeks and we then have the same amount of time left. Things happen that you have not planned for better or worse. It means that you have so many memories to deal with later. It flows well, have lunch in Ödeshög and have then travelled about 29 miles. We drive further down to Helsingborg. Take the ferry Helsingborg-Helsingör and stand at Camping Nivå, just south of Helsingör. 62 mil this day.

Now is the last thing to be done here at home before the trip. We have had time to plan a lot this year and made some improvements to the car. It feels like we are compensating for what we didn't get to do last year. Last year we didn't have time to do much. We packed clothes and passports, then went out. It went well too 🙂 As long as we have all the papers belonging to the car, passports and visa cards, we can complete the rest during the journey.

My goodness, time flies. Only one week left until the trip starts. I "just" have to finish packing, finish everything at work so I can be away for 6 weeks.
Read moreWe try to give others good and thoughtful tips on travel routes, sights and smart packing solutions. When it comes to travelling, it happens at the last second and without any time to plan. Yesterday we started packing four hours before departure. Then we drove without a clue where we would stay for the night.
Read moreI work half day from home today, but then it's time for us to roll. At last! In 2015 we travelled around Europe with the motorhome for 365 days. Last year there were only a few campervan trips within the country - to Piteå and to Elmiamässan among others. To get down to Europe with the motorhome again feels ... fantastic!
