We travelled to the Cabo de Sao Vicente headland near Sagres in Portugal. Here, in southern Portugal, we found Europe's most south-westerly point. The sea crashes into 75-metre-high cliffs, and one of Europe's most powerful lighthouses sends its light signals across the Atlantic. We also visited the nearby Ponta de Sagres headland. Galé beach - Portugal's best beach

Galé beach, on the outskirts of Albufeira on the Algarve coast, is in our opinion the best beach in Portugal. To one side is a long stretch of fine-grained sand. We go jogging there every other day. On the other side is a strip of beach with beautiful rock formations and small cosy coves, where you can find your own little secluded corner for sunbathing and swimming.

Today we strolled around the old town of Albufeira. The city is full of white houses, restaurants and shops with clothes, jewellery and beach stuff. It's a bit touristy, of course, but the city doesn't lose its charm. On the contrary, we like this place!

Right now we are parked with our motorhome in a car park in Albufeira. The site is called Parque de Palmeira and is within walking distance of the city centre. The place where we are parked is actually a former football pitch and according to the website, the income from the site goes towards travel and other costs for several youth football teams.
