Today we left Seville and drove to El puerto de Santa Maria, just north of Cadiz on the Spanish coast. Here we are in a well-organised campsite right by the sea, but even though it's nice, we feel a certain irritation. Picos de Europa is a multi-mountain national park in northern Spain, located just off the coast between Santander and Gijón. The road in from the coast heads uphill, passing charming villages, small hotels and restaurants and pastures with cows, horses, sheep and goats. The mountains rise dizzyingly high into the sky and this must be a great place to wander on a hot summer's day.
