Gripsholm Castle is a magnificent and regal castle by Lake Mälaren. The rooms are still here from the time of the Vasa kings and there is also one of Europe's most well-preserved 18th century theatres. In addition, the surroundings are really nice.

Taxinge castle, or Taxinge-Näsby castle, is beautifully situated by Lake Mälaren. We came here by motorhome in the afternoon and the weather was fantastic. There was a nice walk in the beautiful castle park, but unfortunately no cakes as the castle café was not open at the moment.
