Gripsholm Castle is a magnificent and regal castle by Lake Mälaren. The rooms are still here from the time of the Vasa kings and there is also one of Europe's most well-preserved 18th century theatres. In addition, the surroundings are really nice.

Taxinge castle, or Taxinge-Näsby castle, is beautifully situated by Lake Mälaren. We came here by motorhome in the afternoon and the weather was fantastic. There was a nice walk in the beautiful castle park, but unfortunately no cakes as the castle café was not open at the moment.

Igelbäckens nature reserve is located in Sundbyberg, north of Stockholm. We took a trip here with the electric bikes this weekend, and got a nice hiking tour in nature among lots of ancient monuments from the Bronze Age, the Iron Age and ... the 1940s.

Ulriksdal Palace is one of the eleven royal palaces in Sweden and offers a beautiful setting with a palace park, orangery and commercial garden. There are currently no tours of the interior of the castle, but the park and the commercial garden are open to visitors. We took a trip here with the electric bikes!
