Gustavsberg is a lovely little town in Värmdö municipality in Stockholm, best known for the Gustavsberg porcelain factory. We took a map-based walk along the waterfront and discovered everything from factory history to castles and mansions.

Yesterday a new cultural trail opened in Värmdö municipality, on the island of Ingarö, called Kulturstig Pilhamn. So what was better than to go and visit it? It was a nice little walk through beautiful nature, with a large dose of history, from the Iron Age onwards. We also met two moose!

Bogesund Castle in Vaxholm is a beautiful 17th century castle located on the Bogesund Island in the Stockholm archipelago. We went here one day last week to walk the "Stora Slottsrundan". It was a fantastic day in beautiful natural surroundings.

Tyresö Castle is beautifully situated by Kalvfjärden in Tyresö, just south of Stockholm. We went here one day last week when we both strolled in the English park and had a picnic on Notholmen. In addition, there was a nice hike on a small part of the Pilgrim Trail, in Alby nature reserve.
