Then we were off! We got up at six o'clock this morning to unpack the last things and clean the boat. We worked intensively all morning and while we were carrying out the last box, the new tenants called ... then they were in the marina with a car and trailer and four friends to help carry!

Both yesterday and today I have spent at Nalen in Stockholm - at a conference. Apart from the fact that it was a good and interesting conference, it's fun to visit such historic premises. The building dates from 1888 and was originally used for everything from cycling schools and political meetings to Christmas parties, bazaars and sports events.

Read moreRight now we have a conference with work at Ulfsunda Castle. The castle is located in Bromma and like many other similar old buildings, it is used today for conferences and weddings, and as a hotel and restaurant. The castle was built in the mid-17th century and has had many different owners over the years, ranging from private nobles to the county council. Among other things, Queen Kristina once celebrated midsummer here.

We have travelled a lot, and on many of our trips we have met new people who have generously offered us this or that. It doesn't matter if they were rich or poor. Even people who had no electricity or running water have generously offered us to eat and drink what they have.

Read moreToday we strolled around Borgholm, which is a cosy summer town. There are small charming houses, a small shopping street where the clothes shops are close together and plenty of outdoor cafes and ice cream parlours. Yes, and a nice little harbour of course.
Read moreLast night we visited the popular restaurant Lammet och Grisen here in Löttorp on Öland. Thank you (several) blog readers who told us about it! At Lammet, as the restaurant seems to be called, they serve "Öländsk fest". And yes, it was definitely a party we attended yesterday.
