Midsummer celebrations at Rullsands campsite

This year we decided on a midsummer celebration at Rullsands camping. We were not at all prepared for the heat and had no swimwear, but it worked out anyway! Then it has become both midsummer lunch and midsummer dinner. And also some hanging out in the beach bar.

Rullsands camping and sea baths

Rullsands camping is a nice campsite outside Gävle. The location of the campsite is very nice and there is also a lovely sandy beach nearby. There are also cottages and the site is also known for its naturist bath. Definitely worth one or more visits!

Hesselby Castle in Stockholm

End of summer at work yesterday - at Hesselby Castle. And no, it's not me spelling it wrong. The castle has recently changed owners and changed the ä to an original e. This is a rather small 17th century castle that was inhabited by the Bonde family until 1931 when the City of Stockholm bought the castle and the land to build the suburbs of Hässelby and Vällingby.

Now we have tried city camping in Linköping! After a nice visit to Sandvik's camping outside the city, it was instead city camping in a parking lot in the centre of Linköping. Then it was dinner and party night!

Yesterday we arrived at Sandvik's campsite, which is located on Lake Roxen outside Linköping. This is a Caravan Club campsite, which is very nice by the water. Here we have, among other things, met motorhome friends!

We celebrated Easter Monday at Bredsands camping in Enköping. And who do you think we met here? Well, our nice camping neighbours, who we got to know at Ängsö camping two weeks ago, Yvonne and Svenne. It's a small world!

Easter Eve 2012 - at Västerås Mälarcamping.

Now we have rolled into Västerås mälarcamping. We were actually looking for a pitch in Västerås, at the marina, but did not find it for some reason. Instead, it became really good here at the campsite! Here we have had everything from a walk in the sun (and the cold), Easter lunch, relaxing in front of some recorded TV series, the first barbecue of the year and meeting nice camping neighbours.

Härjarö camping outside Enköping

We have found Härjarö camping, outside Enköping. It's cool by the water, and very quiet. We are tired after a week with a lot of work and little sleep, so it is really nice to relax and just do nothing.
