We woke up bright and energetic on Sunday morning and thought we'd get a lot done. I have an extra job that I do from home, we are working on various projects related to the blog, and Peter is preparing for his new job. Happy Friday posts with the full story of his life. But it didn't get much done, so to speak ...
Read moreA few days ago, I (Helena) got the chance to try a bathing ritual in the Turkish Bath at Sturebadet in Stockholm, together with three other bloggers. Since I have never tried a Turkish bathing ritual, I of course did not want to say no to this experience!
Read moreEvery year, Ving presents a "Holiday Report" where they look at travel trends. Yesterday, this year's report was presented, where they chose to focus on some specific questions about travel and health. What travel experiences (internal and external) do guests want? Is the health trend here to stay or do we want to take holidays from our healthy lifestyle when travelling abroad in the future?
Read moreIf you're going on holiday for two or three weeks, keeping up with your exercise and drinking wine every day may not matter much. It's worse when you're travelling for a whole year... BIG thanks to all the great readers who have contributed ideas and tips! But what happened when we got to the campsite in Roquetas de Mar?
Read moreDo you need to exercise while travelling? If you're going on a week-long sun holiday, you can of course choose to lie in a sun lounger and sip an umbrella drink, but if you're travelling for a long time, you might want to consider whether you want to be active in some way. At least if you want to maintain some fitness and not gain too many kilos. After all, holiday life is all about relaxation and a few extra glasses of wine ...
Read moreToday we rolled the campervan to the beach in Galé on the outskirts of Albufeira, here in the south of Portugal. We haven't exercised for ages, so today was the day! We went jogging on the beach and did some occasional exercises from our usual training programme. It's good to be up and running again! Then it was tuna salad on the beach and a few lazy hours in the sun.
Read moreDoctors and medical care are of course also available abroad, but it is still a good idea to visit a doctor before travelling long distances. When travelling in Europe, the European Health Insurance Card entitles you to emergency medical care, but there are still some things to consider in advance, such as dental care and medication.
