When you have a sewerage problem, you need help fast. We know, because we have a lot of experience ... unfortunately. Last autumn, we had recurring problems with our sewage pump in the houseboat, sometimes resulting in days without water and sewage. The worst thing is not having no water, but having no place to empty the sewage ... When it was at its worst, we had to live in the motorhome for a few days.

We rebuilt our houseboat last summer. We repainted the hull, changed all the panelling, all the windows and doors and all the roof. But the biggest change was that we rebuilt the entire living room, which is the top part of the boat.

You may recall that we decided to do a stability test of the houseboat after the remodelling? But I think we forgot to tell you about the results ... It was a proper test that started when the boat was on land. We have a large window in the bathroom with a nice view of the water - but of course it has also been just as good a view. in in the bathroom. So far we've used a curtain, but that's a bit boring. Now Peter has put up solar film on the windows, which he bought at Mekonomen and which is usually used for car windows.
