Last night we finally tried making our own sushi. It was really fun! The rice took the longest to make. It had to be rinsed, boiled, mixed with sushi-su (a mixture of rice vinegar, rice wine and sugar) and then cooled. Anyway, we were happy with the result, and it was really, really good!

Yesterday it was time for our South American dinner. Peter's son Robin and his wife Alexandra hosted the dinner. Everyone had prepared a dish, on the theme of South America, and the end result was a wild mix of our different ideas... For the evening we also had a visit from Alexandra's cousin Joe from New Zealand, who made a short visit during his long journey around North America and Europe.

Last night we had an Indian cookery evening at a colleague's house. One colleague has taken an Indian cookery course and another has parents from India. Thirteen people in the kitchen and lots of Indian recipes were messy, but fun! A music video with Bollywood music added to the atmosphere!
