Recipes for apples - starter, main course, dessert

Today we are presenting five different apple recipes here on the blog. My parents have apple trees in their garden and when we visited them we got a whole bunch. Apples are best cooked and we're not big fans of baking, so it's time to use apples in our cooking!

When we went to the Fish Market restaurant in Reykjavik, we had the best food we have ever had. Of course, we couldn't resist buying the restaurant's cookbook! The recipes are by Icelandic celebrity chef Hrefna Rósa Sætran.

Today we are going to tell you about another great fish restaurant here in Reykjavik, the Fish Company. Yesterday we visited Fish Company, another restaurant with fantastic fresh fish and exciting flavour combinations. Again, we chose a tasting menu, which we didn't regret.

Fish Market in Reykjavik

We had a magical dining experience yesterday at the Fish Market restaurant in Reykjavik. We had the most amazing meal in a restaurant that we've ever eaten. ever. If you ever visit Iceland must you should visit this restaurant. The focus is on seafood, preferably with an Asian touch, and we had an absolutely divine tapering menu.

Crayfish in their own team

This weekend we're going on a motorhome trip and we're going to take the opportunity to feast on seafood. Among other things, there will be crayfish in their own layer. We have bought frozen, slightly cheaper, crayfish and then cooked a layer that the crayfish are now in. It will be interesting to see how this tastes, but we can at least say that it smells very good!

McLobster at McDonald's in Canada

McLobster at McDonald's, have you heard of it? We are in Halifax on the east coast of Canada right now, and there seems to be an abundance of lobster. Lobster is served just about everywhere, and McDonald's is no exception. Yesterday we had a McLobster menu for lunch.

Fish and seafood in Halifax, Canada

We've had a lot of seafood in Halifax, here in Canada. This is a city on the coast, so perhaps it is not so strange that there is plenty of fish here. As you walk along the quayside, you pass one fish restaurant after another. Both the ingredients and the way they are served are slightly different from what you are used to from Sweden and Europe, but it's good!

Kenyan food - our experiences

We will try to tell you a bit about the food in Kenya. We have eaten at the homes of friends of friends in Nairobi, in a home in the countryside and a few times in eating places outside. Everyone has been generous and hospitable, and we are very grateful for all the meals we have shared. Culturally, it's been interesting, and here's the our experiences:
