Champagne tasting

Last Saturday evening we were invited to a champagne tasting at Peter's oldest son Robin and his girlfriend Alexandra. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary last summer (Peter 50 and Helena 35). They had set the table incredibly nicely and arranged a tasting of five different champagnes.

Simple Mediterranean stew

This stew (or soup as it should be called) is one of our favourites, it's simple, quick and delicious. We originally found the recipe in Metro, and then modified it to suit our tastes.

Mussels au gratin

This weekend we cooked mussels in the motorhome. Mussels can be really tasty, especially when gratinated in the oven, so we wanted to share the recipe. Luxurious and delicious as an appetiser or snack with a glass of champagne or white wine. Even people who think they don't like mussels tend to like them!

Grilled seabream with citrus sauce

Here is our absolute favourite recipe right now, namely grilled seabream with citrus sauce. Seabream is a fantastic Mediterranean fish that can be found in most well-stocked fish counters. In the Mediterranean it is often called dorada, dourada or something similar, and in Sweden it can sometimes also be called gold sparrow.

My (Helena's) mum turned 70 not long ago, so we invited my parents to Afternoon Tea at the Grand Hotel today. When something is served at the Grand, it is of course luxurious and good. We had a really nice afternoon!

Tasty tuna sandwiches - with inspiration from Malta

Our absolute favourite sandwiches right now are these delicious tuna sandwiches. Today we made them for lunch. We got the inspiration for them when we were in Malta, where these flavours were often served on sandwiches. Then we've adapted them a bit to suit our tastes here at home.
