Do you like football or hockey? Would you like to go on a football or hockey trip, or have you even been on one? My interest in sports is probably a bit too vague for Peter to attract me, but his niece Dessi and her husband Lasse (who got married last summer) and Dessi's family (parents, brother and girlfriend) have a much stronger interest. McLobster at McDonald's, have you heard of it? We are in Halifax on the east coast of Canada right now, and there seems to be an abundance of lobster. Lobster is served just about everywhere, and McDonald's is no exception. Yesterday we had a McLobster menu for lunch.

Today we took a "Harbour Hopper tour" here in Halifax, Canada, which is a tour with an amphibious boat. This green-blue intermediate between a car and a boat starts on land, and after some time on the city streets, you simply drive into the water.

We've had a lot of seafood in Halifax, here in Canada. This is a city on the coast, so perhaps it is not so strange that there is plenty of fish here. As you walk along the quayside, you pass one fish restaurant after another. Both the ingredients and the way they are served are slightly different from what you are used to from Sweden and Europe, but it's good!

The reason we are here in Halifax: IASSID World Congress 2012 (IASSID = International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual Disabilities). I spend the days in an air-conditioned congress hall, while Peter enjoys the sun... In the evenings, we can enjoy seafood together at a harbourside restaurant in the evening sun.

Today was a wonderfully refreshing boat ride in Halifax. Yesterday we tested the nightlife here in the city, and today we have woken up to a new day with bright sunshine. Down in the harbour there are several boats that take tourists on tours, and we chose a sailboat for a boat trip in Halifax.
