Flying is supposed to be very safe, but sometimes I can't help but wonder. Both DN and Aftonbladet report today on a Jas plane that in 2007 was a few seconds away from colliding with a passenger plane.

Around the world with the family by car

As you can probably guess, this is not the first time the Ringdahl family has been on an adventure. Sun and warmth in February

It's not surprising that people are longing for sun and warmth now. But finding holidays that meet Swedes' requirements for a week in the sun is more difficult: "Not too long to travel, not too expensive and warm enough to sunbathe and swim". You only have to look at a map to understand the problem. Europe is too cold. Asia and South America are too far away. That leaves North Africa or the Middle East.

100 wonders of the world

One of our Christmas presents for Peter's son Billie was the book "100 Wonders of the World" and last night we looked through it together. The authors have made a subjective selection of wonders, and you can certainly choose differently. But after all, there are 100 beautiful, fascinating and interesting places presented. So far, we (or one of us) have visited 15 of them.

Itinerary for this summer's European trip

We are now planning the itinerary for this summer's European trip. We start in Stockholm on 2 July and drive down to Denmark, where we take a ferry across to Germany. We then continue through Germany and pass Austria to reach northern Italy.
