Vrsar in Croatia, on the west coast of Istria, is a medieval town where we visited a really good restaurant. We checked out the Porto Sole campsite and a naturist campsite Koversada in Vrsar. Both have great locations next to the Adriatic Sea and the nudist campsite also has its own island for glamping.

The campsite is on a huge area and the motorhomes, caravans and tents are scattered here and there on the beaches and in the forest. It doesn't really feel like being on a campsite, but rather in a huge natural area. We have positioned ourselves so we have the Mediterranean Sea through the window in front of us - not a bad view! Read moreRight now it is time for the olive harvest in Croatia. We see it everywhere here on Brac, and not least at the campsite where we live. The campsite is full of olive trees and right now the owners are harvesting all day, together with the rest of the family who came here from Bosnia. At the tourist office, we also learned that the private olive oil museum may not be open right now. because the owners are in the middle of the harvest.. Everything seems to be about olives right now!

There is no advice against travelling, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls for "increased vigilance and general caution". The greatest risk is said to be in the UK, France, Belgium, Italy and Denmark. The heightened threat appears to be well founded, and Europe is trembling.
