Wow, what a trip to the desert we have experienced! We travelled from Zagora straight into the Sahara, not far from the border with Algeria. Hour after hour through three types of desert: sand, rock and what is neither one nor the other, but perhaps the bottom of a dry lake. Sometimes a few acacia trees, a bunch of dromedaries on a hike or a few French tourists on a motorbike or on foot.

Galé beach, on the outskirts of Albufeira on the Algarve coast, is in our opinion the best beach in Portugal. To one side is a long stretch of fine-grained sand. We go jogging there every other day. On the other side is a strip of beach with beautiful rock formations and small cosy coves, where you can find your own little secluded corner for sunbathing and swimming.

From Granada we went back down to the coast and drove east towards Almería. In this area you drive miles and miles through an endless sea of plastic tent farms. The tents are really just everywhere and it feels like they never runs out. It looks rather sad, but is of course an important production from an economic point of view.

Naturist campsite in Corsica, at Aléria on the east coast. The campsite is on a huge area and the motorhomes, caravans and tents are scattered here and there on the beaches and in the forest. It doesn't really feel like being on a campsite, but rather in a huge natural area. We have positioned ourselves so we have the Mediterranean Sea through the window in front of us - not a bad view! Ängelholm was covered in 20 cm of snow when we left today, and it didn't feel good considering we were driving from Skåne to Stockholm with summer tyres. We crawled along the first snowy road to the E4 motorway.
