The new colour of the houseboat

Now I have painted the first piece with the new colour! The houseboat will be light grey (a shade called sea mist) and all the linings will be white. While I was painting the lining and walls, Peter demolished the old deck and continued to sand and paint the deck.

Having migraines - a misery

I'm certainly not going to complain. Everyone has their shit, and some people have conditions and worries that are much worse than what I'm dealing with. Migraines are harmless, but completely disabling when they strike. At least that's how it is for me. I end up (at best) in bed with an ice pack on my head. At worst, I wander around like an unholy spirit because the pain is too intense to rest.

We celebrate Midsummer with Peter's brother on Blidö in the Stockholm archipelago. They have a nice red cottage right by the water. Very idyllic and just what you want on a Midsummer's Eve. There are a total of 26 people here, and three motorhomes are parked around the site.

Mechelinki - The charming little fishing village in Poland

Mechelinki has been a sleepy little fishing village on the Polish Baltic coast. Not far away are holiday resorts like Rewa, Hel and Sopot, but almost no tourists have found their way to Mechelinki... yet. But that may be about to change. With the help of EU funding, the village has been able to build a pier on the water, and restaurants and hotels are starting to spring up.
