Campsites and pitches in Southern Europe
Many people have discovered the charm of travelling by motorhome in southern Europe, and you really do see motorhomes everywhere. This also means that there are plenty of pitches and campsites! In France, it's common to find pitches that are free, but where you pay with coins or tokens for electricity and water.
All countries have campsites, of course, and in many places it is also common for people to free camp. Just make sure you follow the local regulations and don't disturb or litter if you free camp!
