Roberto Toro's interest in travelling started with a train ride in Europe, and it wasn't long before he took the Trans-Siberian Railway to Mongolia for an eight-month backpacking trip. Now he can't get enough of travelling and adventure. He recently returned from a long and exciting motorbike trip through South America with a friend.

We have been to Kenya twice. The first time (2007) we backpacked to Nairobi and took a train to Mombasa. The second time (2012) we travelled with a friend from Kenya and experienced everything from a traditional wedding with 400 guests to a remote rural village without electricity or running water.

Inga and Richard Sundell are a married couple who lived ordinary lives in Stockholm with ordinary jobs, but felt they needed a timeout from the squirrel wheel. So they decided to take a sabbatical. They quit their respective jobs, packed their backpacks and headed off to Asia. They have now been travelling for several months, spending time in Bali, Japan and Vietnam.

Katrin Olsen lives in Norway and usually works for a company, but when she is free, nature and physical challenges attract her. She ran her first half marathon almost ten years ago, and since then the challenges have only gotten bigger and bigger. For example, she has climbed Aconcagua in Argentina, which is the next highest of the mountains included in the Seven Summits.

Jonas Andrén and his friends have known each other since they were young and played football and floorball together. Now it's time for completely different adventures! They have previously climbed Kebnekaise and Kilimanjaro together, and a few months ago they took on an even bigger challenge: Europe's highest mountain, Elbrus, in the Russian Caucasus.

Guest of the week: Mads Poulsen and Lotta Logård, Round-the-world sailors.

In May this year, Mads Poulsen and Lotta Logård left Stockholm in their sailboat S/Y Looma IV to embark on their longest ever sailing trip. In fact, we attended their farewell party held here in Pampas marina, where we live. Mads has lived in a houseboat here before and the last time before departure they had their nice sailboat lying right here. One early morning (so early that we didn't have time to wake up and wave) they glided past our houseboat and out towards the open waters.
