In 2006, we travelled on the Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Beijing, via Mongolia. What a journey! We didn't have a blog at the time, but we have many memories. Today we have done a full day sailing trip by catamaran in Malaysia, here on Langkawi. It was a really nice excursion, and if anyone is going here, we can highly recommend a trip with Rampant sailing. The couple who organised the trip were very nice and made sure it was a really good day.

Today we have made an excursion to the north-eastern part of Langkawi, and made a mangrove boat trip through the mangrove swamp. It was an interesting trip, where we got to see all sorts of wildlife - some of which we've never heard of before - and learn more about nature.

When people ask if it's not dangerous to travel there, I usually answer that it's dangerous to live. There are risks everywhere, but if you are not reckless, travelling is usually not overly dangerous. However, some destinations can be more dangerous than others.

Today it was time for our long-awaited horse riding trip in Iceland and we woke up to ... wind roaring in the houses. Wow, would we really go riding in this storm? But you can't say no to an adventure! We put on our warmest clothes and got ready to meet the horses and the Icelandic landscape.

If you ever visit Slovenia, be sure to visit the cave in Postojna! It's a major tourist magnet, but definitely worth the visit. The cave is absolutely huge and filled with amazing formations of stalagtites, stalagmites and pillars.

Our Morocco trip is now featured in a report in ATV & Terrängmagazinet. The focus is on the tour we did with quad bikes (which was really cool!), but the magazine has also included a travel story and lots of pictures, on two full pages. Very funny!

Now we have tried quad biking in Morocco. We booked a quad bike tour yesterday and got to go to Palmerie, an area just outside Marrakech. We booked the tour on site in Marrakech, in one of all the small shops that sell excursions, and were picked up by car at the square when it was time. It was a really cool tour with a lot going on!
