Ivön and Bäckaskog Castle in Skåne is located just northeast of Kristianstad. We were here on a very rainy day in May this year, but despite the rainy weather we had a very nice day. We also spent a long time looking for a very special horse grave.

Appenzell in Switzerland is really not much more than a rural village with amazingly good cheese. Or is it? Appenzell and Appenzellerland wowed us with the imaginatively decorated houses, the countless restaurants with local specialities, the rolling green landscape, the dramatic Hoher Kasten mountain and - not least - the ancient traditions of direct democracy in the town square instead of regular municipal elections.

We have now had the chance to try hang gliding in Interlaken, Switzerland. There was no doubt that Peter would agree to fly, but the question was whether I (Helena) was also prepared to throw myself into the air ...? The dramatic start of the day was then followed by a lovely boat trip on Lake Brienz, and a nice hike to a waterfall.

The plan is to visit the islands that are located here, which are usually called the "Golden Islands".
