Finally, a coffee machine for the campervan! In our motorhome, we have always drunk instant coffee ... but that will soon change! Today Peter bought an espresso machine at Media Markt. Now there will be good coffee in the motorhome too.

Tapas and Spanish wine tasting

We have previously organised dinner and wine tasting with a French theme. Last night it was time for a Spanish theme. The dinner was organised at the home of Robin (Peter's son) and Alexandra, who also made all the hot tapas. We took cold tapas with us. Wow, how much food there was! And how delicious! We probably won't need to eat for a week...

It's Wednesday night and we're drinking wine. What are we celebrating? Well, today I have been accepted as a PhD student at Karolinska Institutet (where I also work). It's been a long road to get here, so it's worth celebrating!

New wine glasses in the motorhome

Today Peter went shopping for new wine glasses for the campervan. Of the old six wine glasses, five (!) have broken. Not during a wild party, if anyone thought so, but in almost all cases when we washed and dried them. The glass has simply come off the base. The new ones are made in one piece, so they shouldn't break as easily.

Yesterday we organised a French dinner and wine tasting at home. We tried five French wines, from different grapes and in different price ranges. We made the French dinner together: we cooked the main course and Robin and Alexandra brought the starter and dessert.

Four-course meal with deer fillet

It was not only the wine that was good when we organised a wine tasting at home. The food was also very successful! We've never cooked deer before, but it wasn't that difficult and turned out fantastic. A tip for the festive dinner, when you are tired of the pork fillet and the beef fillet, is to browse among birds and game.

What amazing wines we had the chance to taste and drink yesterday! Among these wines were the most delicious wines we have ever had. The dinner was also very successful. Champagne tasting

Last Saturday evening we were invited to a champagne tasting at Peter's oldest son Robin and his girlfriend Alexandra. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary last summer (Peter 50 and Helena 35). They had set the table incredibly nicely and arranged a tasting of five different champagnes.
