Shopping in supermarkets in Southern Europe (and everywhere else!) is exciting and interesting. It is fun to browse through all the raw materials and products that you are not used to from Sweden. It's also interesting to observe the range of products in the shops as it tells you a lot about the food culture in the different countries. Yesterday we went shopping in Agde. It is really fun to go to French supermarkets, which are packed with delicacies and different products than what we are used to in Sweden. We have not eaten in a restaurant once since we arrived in France. Mostly we shop at the Carrefour grocery store and eat in the motorhome. The general feeling is that the food is expensive, but the quality is high.

Etiquette at the dinner table in other cultures is not always easy. In Europe, people have been taught that it is important to choose the right glass and the right fork, and to look each other in the eye when making a toast. In Asia, things are often completely different. For example, I've learnt that in China you can't place the teapot so that the spout points towards someone in the party.
