So it was time to celebrate New Year in Ukraine! We started our New Year's Eve in Kiev by checking out the outdoor concert organised for all Kiev residents in the city centre, just below our hotel. Our little weekend trip started with a night at the car park in Strängnäs. Then we continued to Avesta, where we stayed in the car park outside Coop ... We first thought of continuing on somewhere, but then we ended up staying. We cooked a really good dinner in the motorhome, and then we decided to try the nightlife in Avesta. A really good evening!

What fantastic weather! On Friday morning we travelled by tram to Chalmers, where I was attending and speaking at a conference. Meanwhile, Peter sat outside in the sun and read a book. On Saturday evening we had a party night in Gothenburg, with a few hours at the Push nightclub.

It was finally time for Sensation White in Oslo 2011, with the theme Ocean of White. Eight hours of dancing to great DJs and a fantastic show with lights, lasers, fountains, fires and dancers. A really cool experience together with 23,000 people dressed in white.

We had planned New Year in Budapest well in advance and had booked a table at a cosy wine cellar. It was a really successful evening, but perhaps not exactly as we had imagined. It started with ordering a taxi, which only had to drive about a block ... Then the evening at the wine cellar was completely different than we imagined.

Last Saturday evening we were invited to a champagne tasting at Peter's oldest son Robin and his girlfriend Alexandra. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary last summer (Peter 50 and Helena 35). They had set the table incredibly nicely and arranged a tasting of five different champagnes.

Robin (Peter's eldest son) celebrated his 23rd birthday on Saturday. Robin and his Alexandra hosted wine, pies and pastries at their home in the afternoon. Very nice!

Now we are (just as many already figured out) in Linköping. We are well placed in a car park in the centre where you can pay for a whole day (100 SEK). We almost blend in with the cars, don't you think? Now we have also tested the nightlife in Linköping. The result? Linköping gets top marks!
