Once down on the island of Pag in Croatia, it felt like the holiday really started. We were probably not quite used to the heat so the first few days we just took it easy and enjoyed being together and did everything in slow motion. We don't have AC in the car so you have to be aware that it can get hot at night. It actually goes quite well.

Saturday morning. At 9.00 we are ready just as planned, we meet Magnus and Terese at the petrol station and start our journey. It flows well, have lunch in Ödeshög and have then travelled about 29 miles. We drive further down to Helsingborg. Take the ferry Helsingborg-Helsingör and stand at Camping Nivå, just south of Helsingör. 62 mil this day.

Now is the last thing to be done here at home before the trip. We have had time to plan a lot this year and made some improvements to the car. It feels like we are compensating for what we didn't get to do last year. Last year we didn't have time to do much. We packed clothes and passports, then went out. It went well too 🙂 As long as we have all the papers belonging to the car, passports and visa cards, we can complete the rest during the journey.

The feeling when you see this, after a whole year at home in Sweden and with months of planning. So wonderful to finally be down in the Alps. Today there are two weeks left until we leave with the motorhome and we are full of anticipation, also this year.

New GPS in the motorhome - and still problems

At midsummer we set off with the motorhome towards Poland and the Czech Republic. So how has it gone? Have we sorted out all the problems after recovery on the motorway and the new errors that occurred after the visit to the workshop? No, not really. It's a race against the clock to get the campervan ready for departure - but it is must Go! Today we have at least got a new GPS in the motorhome.

New faults on the motorhome after the workshop

Our FREEDOM motorhome is finally home - after seven months in the workshop. It is wonderful to see it in the car park. but it's not quite as fun as it could have been. When we handed it in, it had one error. When we picked it up, this particular fault was fixed, but now there were a lot of new faults on the motorhome after the workshop!

Motorhome holidays in the Ascension weekend?

The story of our campervan in the workshop has been a long one. It began with a dramatic stop on the motorway and the recovery of the motorhome at the end of October. The motorhome ended up in a workshop in Kristinehamn and a windscreen wiper motor failure has kept it going until now.
