Motorhome fixed - at last

This morning we hung out at the garage in Caen while they fixed the most pressing issue - the coolant hose. When we left a couple of hours later, the engine light was still on, but they promised that it wasn't an urgent problem and that we could check it out later. (They didn't have time.) But what happened in the afternoon? The engine jumped and the car started running really bad. Panic!

We have now spent nine weeks in the motorhome, in a car park. And our experience is that it works very well! A prerequisite, of course, is that we have access to a lot of services here: water, sewage, electricity, waste management, toilets, showers and a laundry room. Then we feel good in the motorhome. The bed is the most comfortable we have and it's great for cooking.

We didn't only manage to put the roof and hang out at KS Akuten yesterday. We also managed to load up our friends' catamaran on the motorhome roof. They have bought a small holiday apartment in Poland, on the beautiful Polish Baltic Sea coast. Now they have bought a catamaran, a Hobie Cat, which they want to transport down to Poland. So we decided to load it on the camper van roof and go down to Poland together in September.
