Landek Park is a mining museum in Ostrava in the eastern Czech Republic, and there is also a nice campsite. We visited the museum a few years ago, and on this year's trip we stayed at the campsite, as it has a good location when visiting Ostrava. The campsite is a good stop if you're travelling by motorhome, and the mining museum is well worth a visit even if you're travelling by other means.

In addition, it was a temperature shock. The day before we had +28 degrees and bright sunshine - at the top of the mountain we had +8 degrees, wind and heavy fog.

Steel and iron were once worked here, and the heat in the blast furnaces was extreme. Now we have tried blowing glass, or at least Peter has. We visited the Moser Glassworks in the Czech Republic, which was far more interesting than we could have imagined. Here we got to experience the beating heart of the glass factory, test what glass blowing requires from the lungs and check out the most beautiful glass artworks.
