We've become completely enamoured with Ukrainian fast food! In Ukraine there is a domestic fast food chain called Puzata Hata. You take a tray and then pick small dishes from a lot of counters with pots and pans. Then you go to the checkout and pay for what you've picked. So simple, so cheap and so good!

Now we have tried the Pervak restaurant in Kiev. The second evening in Kiev we could finally go out and eat all four together, that is Peter, me, Peter's son Robin and Robin's girlfriend Alexandra. There are many fun and different restaurants in Kiev, not least when it comes to interior design. At Pervak in Kiev, the staff have traditional Ukrainian clothing and each room has its own identity.

We had planned New Year in Budapest well in advance and had booked a table at a cosy wine cellar. It was a really successful evening, but perhaps not exactly as we had imagined. My (Helena's) mum turned 70 not long ago, so we invited my parents to Afternoon Tea at the Grand Hotel today. When something is served at the Grand, it is of course luxurious and good. We had a really nice afternoon!
