Ulriksdal Palace is one of the eleven royal palaces in Sweden and offers a beautiful setting with a palace park, orangery and commercial garden. There are currently no tours of the interior of the castle, but the park and the commercial garden are open to visitors. We took a trip here with the electric bikes!

With its spires and towers reflected in Lake Vänern, Läckö Castle feels almost like a castle in a storybook. In the 17th century, Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie designed the castle according to the baroque ideals of the time, and today visitors can travel back in time in their minds while strolling through the beautiful rooms.

Askersund is a charming and idyllic little town with low wooden houses, cafés, boats and waterside walks. Just outside the town, in northern Vättern, is an archipelago of 250 islands, islets and skerries. Stjernsund Castle is also located here, surrounded by water from several directions.

Vreta Abbey in Östergötland is one of Sweden's oldest monasteries. Today there is a ruined monastery and a beautiful church from the 12th century. Not far from here is the ruins of Stjärnp Castle. Both places have a lot of history, and of course the stories are intertwined.

Stegeborg is about 2 kilometres from Söderköping, and here you will find, among other things, a castle ruin from the 13th century. There is also a marina, a harbour restaurant, a garden hotel, a caravan park and an airfield for those who prefer to arrive in their own aircraft.

Kungsträdgården in Stockholm is a beautiful park where people stroll, have coffee, listen to concerts and take part in various happenings. Once upon a time it was very different. When the Makalös Palace was located here, the park was a fenced-in garden for the court only, protected by armed guards.

Tyresö Castle is beautifully situated by Kalvfjärden in Tyresö, just south of Stockholm. We went here one day last week when we both strolled in the English park and had a picnic on Notholmen. In addition, there was a nice hike on a small part of the Pilgrim Trail, in Alby nature reserve.
