We celebrate Midsummer with Peter's brother on Blidö in the Stockholm archipelago. They have a nice red cottage right by the water. Very idyllic and just what you want on a Midsummer's Eve. There are a total of 26 people here, and three motorhomes are parked around the site.

Staying at Ulfsunda Castle in Bromma, Sweden

Right now we have a conference with work at Ulfsunda Castle. The castle is located in Bromma and like many other similar old buildings, it is used today for conferences and weddings, and as a hotel and restaurant. The castle was built in the mid-17th century and has had many different owners over the years, ranging from private nobles to the county council. Among other things, Queen Kristina once celebrated midsummer here.

Birthday in Pampas Marina

Yesterday it was time for birthday celebrations again: Peter turned 53. And what could be better than celebrating in Pampas Marina, where the houseboat is located? We took a walk there along the water with Robin and Alexandra, looked at the boat and spent the whole afternoon in the sun at Sjökrogen.

Dinner in Kaknästornet in Stockholm

Yesterday we had our summer break with work - in Kaknästornet. Kaknästornet is located on Gärdet in Stockholm and is the centre of Teracom's radio and TV traffic in Sweden. Opened in 1967, the tower is 155 metres high (170 including the mast) and has 34 floors.

After we finished eating at Grodhavet at Pampas Marina, our friends took us on a bike ride past Hornsberg beach and Kristineberg beach. This area has really developed and become fantastically beautiful!

Conference at Stallmästaregården in Stockholm

Today we had a conference with work at Stallmästaregården in Stockholm. The place is fantastically located at Brunnsviken in Haga Park and houses a restaurant, meeting rooms and hotel rooms. Parts of the house were built in the 18th century and it is fantastic that such charming and beautiful conference facilities are so close to the centre of Stockholm, with the address Norrtull.

Snow chaos in Stockholm traffic

Today there has been snow chaos in Stockholm traffic, and both cars and rail traffic have had major problems due to the snow storm. SMHI has issued a class 2 warning in the county, most flights have been cancelled and SL has on its website urged customers to avoid travelling by commuter train.

Old meets new - KI auditorium and Tiondeladan

Here is a picture of the campus of Karolinska Institutet in Solna today, with buildings from completely different eras. In the background you can see the new auditorium. Construction began in 2010 and is expected to be completed in 2013.
