We got to listen to presentations about three interesting travel destinations in Europe and meet the entire elite of Swedish travel bloggers. And then there was an award ceremony!

Nalen in Stockholm - for music and meetings

Both yesterday and today I have spent at Nalen in Stockholm - at a conference. Apart from the fact that it was a good and interesting conference, it's fun to visit such historic premises. The building dates from 1888 and was originally used for everything from cycling schools and political meetings to Christmas parties, bazaars and sports events.

Saturday night we spent at Oyster Bar, in Östermalm in Stockholm. Wow, how good and nice! We had an appetiser and starter, and then a fantastic seafood platter. There was also dessert!

Relaxed at the Grodhavet restaurant in Stockholm

Last night - the first night in almost ten weeks that we didn't put on our work clothes and go out to work. Instead, we met up with a friend of a friend and visited the Frog Sea restaurant. Located just 300 metres from the Pampas marina, the restaurant extends out into the water, gently rocking on the waves.

Today was Peter's birthday. We work all the time, but we treated ourselves to a brunch at Sjökrogen in Pampas Marina (in construction clothes). Fantastically nice to sit down for a while, take it easy and enjoy good food. We are not spoilt with that right now.

Midsummer's Eve on Blidö in the Stockholm archipelago

We celebrate Midsummer with Peter's brother on Blidö in the Stockholm archipelago. They have a nice red cottage right by the water. Very idyllic and just what you want on a Midsummer's Eve. There are a total of 26 people here, and three motorhomes are parked around the site.

Staying at Ulfsunda Castle in Bromma, Sweden

Right now we have a conference with work at Ulfsunda Castle. The castle is located in Bromma and like many other similar old buildings, it is used today for conferences and weddings, and as a hotel and restaurant. The castle was built in the mid-17th century and has had many different owners over the years, ranging from private nobles to the county council. Among other things, Queen Kristina once celebrated midsummer here.

Birthday in Pampas Marina

Yesterday it was time for birthday celebrations again: Peter turned 53. And what could be better than celebrating in Pampas Marina, where the houseboat is located? We took a walk there along the water with Robin and Alexandra, looked at the boat and spent the whole afternoon in the sun at Sjökrogen.

Dinner in Kaknästornet in Stockholm

Yesterday we had our summer break with work - in Kaknästornet. Kaknästornet is located on Gärdet in Stockholm and is the centre of Teracom's radio and TV traffic in Sweden. Opened in 1967, the tower is 155 metres high (170 including the mast) and has 34 floors.
