On the information company InfoTorg, we found an article from July 2009, which states that there are 19,000 privately owned motorhomes in Sweden (if you want, you can compare this to 270,000 caravans!).
Read moreIf you want to get out into nature, without travelling so far from Stockholm, we can really recommend Gålö. Gålö Havsbad is located about 3.5 kilometres south of Stockholm, in Haninge municipality. There is a nice campsite and the opportunity to walk in the forest, fish, swim and ski, depending on the season of course. According to the information brochure, you can also hire a bicycle, boat or horse.
Read moreWe are now at Gålö havsbad and camping, in Skälåker in Haninge. This is a very nice campsite with huge green areas, nice bathing area, many electrical sites for motorhomes or caravans, lots of small cabins you can rent and above all really beautiful nature around.

Read moreNow we are on Blidö with Peter's brother and celebrating midsummer. We came here on Thursday evening. We didn't want to sit on the veranda as it was quite windy from the water. Instead, we pulled out the awning and set the table in the shelter of the motorhome. Very cosy to sit there during the evening!
