German themed roads
German Theme Roads are holiday routes with different themes. The route can go through a geographical area or have another kind of theme, such as half-timbered towns, German fairy tales or Roman history. We present both holiday routes developed in Germany and routes we suggest ourselves.
For now, there are a limited number of themed roads to choose from, but the number will grow and expand to give you a variety of exciting roads to choose from. Browse the German themed roads below, and feel free to check back in a few months. There will be more!

How FREEDOMtravel's German themed roads work
So, what are FREEDOMtravel's German Themed Roads? Well, our holiday routes describe a road trip, which is shown on a map at the beginning of the article, along with information about the start, stop and length of the road in kilometres.
Then you will find a list of interesting places to see along the way, along with a map, photo, descriptive text and sometimes a link to read more. Also presented are ideas for where to stay overnight, whether you prefer a caravan site, camping or perhaps a hotel/hostel.
Of course, you always choose whether you want to follow the entire theme road or just a short section. The road serves as an inspiration for the journey and you do exactly as you see fit. Maybe you want to follow the road in reverse order, start in the middle, or just pick out a few well-chosen favourite spots...
